Social Skills Workshop
(School Age Children)
The character we build today will guide our success tomorrow. Gold Star Manners has created programs that teach school age children the keys to success – the keys to strong character development.
Our programs are fun and entertaining. We have designed our classes to teach children the skills they need to build self-esteem and self-confidence. Our classes foster a sense of accomplishment and personal satisfaction. Individuals that attend Gold Star Manners learn to develop strategies to make good decisions that have a positive outcome for themselves, their families and their community.
Our programs are tailored to the specific needs of the group and setting where the class is held. We incorporate a hands-on approach to teaching; students will participate in educational and fun games, they will practice their skills in role playing activities and will have an opportunity to voice their opinions in guided discussion sessions.
Our 3 hour workshop incorporates the following topics:
Making friends (greetings, including others, conversation topics)
Common Courtesies (the golden rule, helping others, magic words, respecting yourself and others)
Dealing with difficult situations (techniques to deal with bullying)

Making decisions (techniques to make an educated decision - how to decide on career choices, job opportunities etc)
Interviewing skills (for different opportunities, i.e. summer jobs, private schools or full time positions)
Gold Star Manners has created a program that makes it easy for children and adolescents to learn proper etiquette. Our students will learn the proper way to conduct themselves in social settings and will understand that the way they are able to handle these situations influence how they will be accepted by others. We make our programs fun and we provide tips to make the techniques easy to remember. Greetings and Introductions Table manners Etiquette in public places (movies, elevator, telephone etc)
